To me, the Fan District is bounded by Broad, Belvidere, Cary, and N. Blvd. I realize there are others who say the boundaries are different, or ought to be, or at least they used to be. 

Since so many wars have been fought over just such disagreements, well, I hardly want to assert that my take on this matter must be accepted by anyone else. 

What I do say is that those four streets form what are now quite natural boundaries. One glance at a map of the city should confirm this. 

Civic associations, or real estate people or politicians might choose to draw the lines otherwise, for reasons other than mine cited above. 

Still, I think most people in the metro area today actually see the Fan as being enclosed by those same four thoroughfares.</description>
