With the R-Braves leaving The Diamond, Richmond is looking for a new baseball team. And, sculptor Paul DiPasquale’s “Connecticut” has to be looking for a new home, too. Before it found a home at The Diamond, it was on the roof of Best Products headquarters near Ashland. Now what?
“Connecticut,” the large Native American figure that peers out at North Boulevard over a rooftop at The Diamond, was installed there in 1985. Local sculptor Paul DiPasquale created the fiberglass and epoxy figure. To some it has become as much a symbol of Richmond Braves baseball in Virginia’s capital city as anything else…
