On Saturday afternoon I took my pocket video camera with me to the Siegel Center, to shoot some highlights of the ODU at VCU basketball game. VCU won, 70-58, but that’s not all that happened. There was also Pavarotti’s second annual Mocking Blaine Taylor Show (ODU’s head coach) and some other sights/sounds.

The rare poster above for a gig staged one month after Woodstock was silkscreened by then-VCU art student Chuck Wrenn in 1969. Eventually, the kid pictured on guitar, who was the principle performer in the band — its name was changed soon after this poster was made — went on to become a Rock ‘n’ Roll hall-of-famer. Name him.
