The Fan District Hub is happy to announce that it has had its first volunteer come aboard, as of today. Hub, shown above, has been given the title of Spokescat.

Actually, the need for a spokescat hadn’t been noticed around here until Hub — at least that’s what he told me his name is — pointed it out. Of course that’s a coincidence of a sort, or it’s something else, but sometimes one must take his volunteers as he finds them.

Thus, the cool cat in the herringbone coat, “Hub,” will be an authorized/official voice of the Fan District Hub, until further notice.

And, that’s just how this new web site for and about people who care about the Fan District is going to become a boon to that same neighborhood. Readers who send in press releases, notices, tips and suggestions are going to play a integral role in shaping this experiment in publishing.

That’s exactly what this web site is — it’s an experiment, hopefully a worthy experiment.

“You ain’t seen nothing yet!” says Hub, already on the job.
