Charlottesville blogger Waldo Jaquith posted a story about the Library of Virginia’s photographs on Flickr. There are 314 pictures of Richmond 1920-60.
Visiting the Library of Virginia today, I saw a big poster advertising that they’re participating in The Flickr Commons. And, lo, they are.

The rare poster above for a gig staged one month after Woodstock was silkscreened by then-VCU art student Chuck Wrenn in 1969. Eventually, the kid pictured on guitar, who was the principle performer in the band — its name was changed soon after this poster was made — went on to become a Rock ‘n’ Roll hall-of-famer. Name him.
