Kevin Slowey tossed 7.2 strong innings to lead visiting Rochester past Richmond, 3-1, on Tuesday. The Red Wings (19-13) scored three runs in the sixth on an RBI double by Matt Moses, a run-scoring single by Jose Morales and a sacrifice fly by Tommy Watkins.
Jonathan Schuerholz singled home Doug Clark in the fifth for the Braves (24-11). Martin Prado and Yunel Escobar each had two of Richmond’s seven hits.
