“Big time players step up when their teams need them the most and senior right-hander John Leonard is doing just that as he posted his second straight strong outing (seven innings) for the Virginia Commonwealth University baseball team as the Rams defeated the Tigers of Towson University in Colonial Athletic Association action on Friday afternoon.
“The Rams move to 27-18 on the season and 13-8 in CAA play, just a game behind league-leading Old Dominion. The Tigers fall to 17-25 overall and 8-14 in conference play.”
