RICHMOND, VA, July 15, 2010 – Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts, a Richmond Public School , will be reopening kindergarten enrollment for approximately 12 new spots. Interested families can visit the PHSSA website, click here, to download an application. Families will need to complete the application and mail it or drop it off at the school on designated days over the next two weeks. Applications must by postmarked by July 23 to be considered for enrollment. No preference will be given to families who get their applications in early.
If applications exceed space, which is an estimated 12 spaces, a lottery will be performed. Families will be notified of enrollment by July 30th.
Patrick Henry School is the first elementary charter school in Virginia. The school’s charter was approved in October 2008. The school will welcome children in kindergarten through fifth grade from all over the city of Richmond in August 2010.
