The Fan District is more than a bunch of nice buildings. In many ways it is the cultural epicenter of the greater Richmond area, obviously with Virginia Commonwealth University as the biggest player in that quaking metaphor. The purpose of the Fan District Hub is to serve its readers by providing a modern equivalent to its precursor — the kiosk bearing posted notices in a town square.
