Thanks to the support of the Richmond soccer community the Richmond Kickers raised $21,189 for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund during Tuesday night’s exhibition match at UR Stadium with the Virginia Tech men’s soccer team. The Kickers defeated the visiting Hokies 3-2 before a crowd of 3,820. All proceeds are being donated to the fund.“It was an emotional but uplifting night and we are so proud that our community supported the cause so strongly,” said Leigh Cowlishaw, the Kickers head coach.
