Want your coffee delivered?
An old brick service station on the southern edge of the Fan is being reborn as a coffee shop and roasting company. Local owner Noelle Archibald says the Lamplighter Roasting Company should be open next week. The new business is located at 116. S. Addison St., one block south of Cary Street.

Hurray! Been waiting for Lamplighter to open! Noelle and Zack are the best — just had an awesome egg sandwich and hot cider this morning– can’t wait to go back and try a chocolate bomb and coffee another day. Great little spot to get some writing done – very friendly. Check it out!

The rare poster above for a gig staged one month after Woodstock was silkscreened by then-VCU art student Chuck Wrenn in 1969. Eventually, the kid pictured on guitar, who was the principle performer in the band — its name was changed soon after this poster was made — went on to become a Rock ‘n’ Roll hall-of-famer. Name him.
