Is it still ‘graffiti’ if it’s authorized?

A mysterious outbreak of graffiti has covered a Fan District building supposedly owned by Samuel J.T. Moore III.

All four sides of the former Julian’s Restaurant at 2612 W. Broad St. are swathed in graffiti so fresh that it smelled of paint last night.

Who really thought they’d heard the last of Sam Moore, the rather notorious owner of Club Velvet, a Shockoe Bottom nightclub that’s been in the news quite a bit over the last year?  The Craig’s List angle is sweet. But is it still ‘graffiti’ if it’s authorized and paid-for? Or, is it just style?

  1. Chad could at least apologize to the community for his illegal graffiti on neighborhood parks. But, evidently, he would rather thumb his nose at the law and his neighbors by using his right of freedom of speech (which few, if any, dispute) and putting his ‘art’ on his own property and that of Mr. Moore’s.

Hey, I have thumbed my nose at the law before, but I can’t say I think much of Chad’s ’style’ or ‘art’. Given the lack of apology for his illegal art, I see little reason to welcome his legal art.

  2. Fuck you Scott Berger. You don’t deserve an apology or anything for that matter. Your property was never touched by me so shut your little bitch mouth and stop whining… Seriously, get a life..

    Apology accepted???
