At Buttermilk and Molasses editor John Sarvay has a post on restaurant news that should interest longtime Fan District residents. Johnny Givoas is at it again — he’s cooking up another restaurant.Johnny and his wife Katrina are now in the process of putting together Kitchen 64, just north of The Diamond. While that’s a little beyond the Fan’s boundaries, Johnny and Katrina live in the Fan and grew up in a pair of legendary restaurants in the neighborhood, the Athens and the Village. Then together they opened the Sidewalk Cafe and have operated, or been involved with, a number of restaurants in the neighborhood since.
