2 Guys who helped shape the POSITIVE interests in my life,Ray-You were the first person to allow me (a 14 yr. old Film Geek in 81') to see the inner works of a theater chain and set me up w/ a collection of 1-sheets that Not only got me in the local paper but helped support me in hard times!

Terry;

Thanks for the time warp down memory lane. Those were good times at a great location. The members of the Floorshow (capital "F" please) had a grand time entertaining the crowds that came to the biograph each and every week. I heard several audience members came just to see what we were going to do next. More than one person tried to get us to take our act to a local nightclub, but most of us stayed put, preferring the safety of Biograph 1.

Many of the cast spent a lot of time and money putting their costumes together, I just bought stuff from thrift shops and grabbed things the VCU Costume Shop when no one was looking.

All you fine folks, new to the Rocky Horror experience, have fun! Don't dream it - Be it!

Ray, thanks for fixing that in my obviously faulty memory. I was sure it happened that way, but I've run into enough things I remember dead wrong that I don't doubt you're right.

"Sexworld" played 23 consecutive weeks over 1978-79. And, the trip to LA mentioned in the yarn above was to do with that same title. But that's its own story.

We never played Rocky Horror at the Ridge Cinema (we endured so much damage in Charlotttesville that Mr. Thalhimer nixed a Ridge engagement)O but we did play SEXWORLD for two years after you finished a full year run at Biograph. Interestingly enough, in 1996 when Brock Summs was operating the Plaza Drive-In we booked a print from and ran it three weekends to high crowds but they kept setting fires with old matresses and we got tired of the FD coming in and bringing up the lights so we went back to Quentin Tarrantino flicks

Brad,

It will be interesting if any of the original floorshow cast hooks up in some way with their counterparts dancing at Movieland.

Made many midnight trips to The Biograph during this run. Always a great time.

And my 15-year-old daughter has caught the fever: she has attended a couple of RHPS screenings at Movieland, and is now fully obsessed with the wondrous madness.

The torch is proudly passed from one generation to the next.
