Coffee with a shot of recovery

Common Groundz, at 734 W. Broad St., stands in the midst of the burgeoning VCU campus. It has been open since April. Somewhat  different from the other coffee shops in the area, this one has an unusual story behind it, Common Groundz is owned and operated by a trio of men recovering from drug addiction.

The Common Groundz story is told in a Richmond Times-Dispatch article penned by Brandon Shulleeta, “Ex-addicts serve healing and coffee.”
