From the department of utilities blog here’s a report from the City on the ongoing water works project in the Fan District.
The Fan District Cleaning and Lining Project, cleaning out all the water mains and giving them fresh, clean linings for better, cleaner water flow, is proceeding at “lightning speed,” says our men in the field.

The rare poster above for a gig staged one month after Woodstock was silkscreened by then-VCU art student Chuck Wrenn in 1969. Eventually, the kid pictured on guitar, who was the principle performer in the band — its name was changed soon after this poster was made — went on to become a Rock ‘n’ Roll hall-of-famer. Name him.
