					<description>If the bag contained a dog brain, or for that matter the brain of any animal, does that really strike you as a joking matter? How do you suppose the brain got from the animal's body to the bag? If you contemplate that process, perhaps you won't think it so amusing.</description>

Now that Tuesday’s attention-getting story is no longer about a human brain, many are obviously feeling a sense of relief. The point of my wisecrack was that we probably should still bother find out how the animal tissue in that bag got where it was found. But I doubt there will be all that much of a follow-up investigation.   

However, it seems to me that a brains-in-a-bag news story invites a measure of black humor in response. Still, it was certainly not my intension to inflame animal lovers. Sorry, if my comments rubbed you the wrong way.</description>
