With his post, “Dirty and Ugly,” Don Harrison at Save Richmond brings us up to date on the ever-evolving CenterStage boondoggle that has been, and is being, presided over by the Virginia Performing Arts Center Foundation. Just when you think it’s getting better, it gets worse.
- The Virginia Performing Arts Foundation has failed to include an operating endowment in its budget the — rich, well-heeled power brokers behind the Foundation would prefer to have taxpayers foot the bill, thanks.
- Construction bids have come in $2.4 million higher than anticipated…. and guess who will pay for that? (No one knows or is willing to say)…
