Bomb scare empties The Diamond

The Richmond Times-Dispatch’s online persona, inRich, has the story of the bomb scare at The Diamond.

A bomb threat in the sixth inning of the Richmond Braves’ game against the Toledo Mud Hens this afternoon forced team officials to evacuate The Diamond.

The baseball park was cleared in 10 minutes, the fans were told to go across the street the Greyhound bus station. The game was suspended and will resume at 1 p.m. on Monday.
